Bee Pollen Benefits

October 17, 2011 by · No Comments · bee pollen

Energy – Allergy – Asthma – Stamina, and just some of the benefits of bee pollen, we are lead to believe. Do your homework when researching these substances and I’m certain you’ll find overwhelming evidence in support of the benefits.

Looking around the web it’s easy to see why people get excited about a particular product, like bee polen for example. A few people start to take it and rave, then a few more, then a few more, and before long they become the latest and greatest new health trend. What really counts is being able to look back to the days well before the Internet, and see what was around then. And go back even further if you can. The good thing about bee pollen is that you can wind the clock back pretty much to the beginning of civilization and see communities of people who were using these products to good effect. So clearly they’ve stood the proverbial test of time.

Remember these things when you read about CCD and other issues impacting not just your supplements but your food supply. Post this on your facebook wall if you really care. Do something about it the best you can.

We’re Losing Our Honeybees

Most of us have heard about CCD – ‘Colony Collapse Disorder”, but how deep does the problem run? Well given the delicate balance of the planet with regard to population and its sustainable food supply, it really couldn’t be much worse.

We know that the planet is overpopulated and with extreme weather patterns many countries are suffering from drought and food shortages. This is the worst possible time to be introducing another issue into the food supply chain.

Another concern which is a direct consequence to the loss of the honey bee population is the fact that beehive products are used so widely in many of the different products which we see in our supermarkets. Many companies utilize royal jelly as a vitamin supplement, but it is also used extensively in skin care products like these.

These substances were once found abundantly in hives in the US, but it is becoming more difficult to source them, thus more and more is imported from overseas.
For those of us who take bee products for their nutritional benefit, we know the advantages of using domestically sourced ingredients – quality, purity, integrity of manufacture, to name but a few of the important selection factors.
